Hi, I’m Nina. I founded Anther in 2020 whilst searching for a unique and personalised wedding gift. I stumbled upon flower pressing, and the first seed was sown!

Now, working from my small studio nestled in the Sussex countryside, pressing flowers has become more than a hobby, and is my way of preserving precious memories and moments. 

Nature, with its vibrant hues and delicate details, inspires me every day and is my solace from the hustle and bustle of life. Pressing flowers lets me freeze these moments, turning them into small, tangible reminders of the beauty that's all around us. The pressing process perfectly captures the colours, shapes and textures of nature in a simple and timeless way.

Whether it's a bloom from a significant occasion or a wildflower picked during a peaceful stroll, each pressed specimen becomes a cherished keepsake - a reminder of the beauty of nature and the precious memories they evoke.  

When I’m not in my studio, I can be found on our allotment growing a haphazard mixture of my favourite flowers to press and vegetables to feed myself and my family. I love walking, from woodlands to meadows, coastlines and mountains and find that nature is my constant muse.
